Manual and Standards Archive

This is where I stow away the Manuals and Standards I refer to while doing personal projects...

Digital Equipment Video Terminal Manuals

Not everything I have here was found at VT100.net, though a lot of it was. I don't need a mirror of their site, but these are the manuals I used while researching for termread.

ANSI Communications Standards

These are the standards I've been able to find PDF files for that have come in handy while researching the history of Teletypes and Terminals.

  • Nobody seems to have a copy of the 1965 version of ANSI (which the 1967 version of ANSI mentions on the cover).

History

U.S. ASCII History has an ASCII code chart and a glossary of abbreviations (after 1967 the 7-bit ASCII code never changed, but the definitions of abbreviations did).
